Steven Frazier Butler
( December 11, 1958 - August 7, 2024 )
Steven Frazier Butler, age 65, of Thornburg Road in Dallas, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Antioch Lutheran Church with Vicar Rebecca Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at the church.
Steven was born December 11, 1958 in San Diego, California, to the late Clayton Frazier Butler and Florence Yvonne Tate Butler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Butler. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa F. Butler of the home; daughters, Ashley Cloninger (Wes) of Dallas, NC, and Kristen Allred (Jordan) of Dallas, TX; brother, Eric Butler (Belinda) of Long Shoals, NC; grandchildren, Jayce Cloninger, Sadie Cloninger, and Collin Allred; mother-in-law, Brenda Faye Free of Dallas; sister-in-law, Crystal Hall (Dennis) of Concord; brother-in-law, Darren Free of Maiden; and nieces and nephews.
Steve was a devoted and loving husband, dad, and papa. Nothing gave him more joy than watching Jayce hit a home run or Sadie play softball. Steve’s face would light up when Collin would say “Bapa” (Papa).
Steve loved spending time with family, fishing at the Outer Banks or taking on a new adventure with Teresa. Steve retired from XPO Logistics in December of 2022.
