Joseph Blake Jordan
( April 28, 1954 - September 13, 2024 )
It is with profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph “Joey” Blake Jordan, whose smile could light up a room. Joey passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Atrium –Lincolnton, at the age of 70.
Joey was born in Cleveland County on April 28, 1954 to the late Dee Gar Jordan and Addie Irene Colvard Jordan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Lee Jordan; sister-in-law Nancy B. Jordan and great nephew Noah Olson.
He is survived by two brothers, Max Jordan (Marsha); Gerald Jordan; three sisters, Nancy Riley; Louann Freshour (Jim Johnston); Gail Villalobos and sister-in-law Sharon Jordan all of Lincolnton. Fourteen nieces and nephews, Jeri Lawing (Robert); Mitch Jordan (Tina); Jason Jordan; Julie Setzer (Johnny); Brad Jordan (Shelly); Jeff Jordan (Debbie);Dori Gantt (Allen); Leslie Riley; Tommy Riley (Mandy); Matt Freshour (Lynzie); Kate Johnston; Sarah Carr (Hunter); Jessica Olson and Lisa Villalobos; Twenty-one great nieces and nephews and six great- great nieces and nephews.
Joey worked as an electrician with Jack Legs Electrical Corporation, a family owned business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joey was a true blue Carolina Tar Heel fan. He enjoyed his summer garden and sharing his bounty with family and friends,
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home, Lincolnton.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to Marty Parker and Kenny Hoyle for their caring and friendship.
