Mrs. Mildred Ramona Pendleton Withers, age 80, of 1981 Union Church Road, Lincolnton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at McKendree United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Sides and Rev. Butch Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday at McKendree United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Withers was born in Lincoln County on November 1, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Kitty Pendleton Keener. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Withers, two brothers, Leonard Pendleton and Hershel Pendleton. Mrs. Withers worked in quality control and customer service at Mohigan Mills, Burris Industries, Null Manufacturing and Cochrane Furniture. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many.
Mrs. Withers is survived by one son Gary Withers and wife, Lyndon of Hickory, NC; one daughter, Gail Robinson and husband, Patrick of South Port, NC; one sister, Evelyn Stroupe of Lincolnton; one brothers, Larry Pendleton of Lincolnton; a grandson, David Withers and wife, Xylvia of Charlotte, NC; a great grandson, Noah Withers and longtime family member, Butch Boyd of Long Shoals, NC.
