Obituaries

Mrs. Carol Schrum Heafner, age 58 of 1914 Buffalo Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Lanier officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beth Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Heafner was born October 22, 1953 in Lincoln County to Grady Schrum and Edith Wilkinson Proctor.  She worked for Lincoln County Schools. 

She is survived by her husband, Roy Alton Heafner of the home; two sons, Alton Lee Heafner of Gastonia and Roy Scott Heafner of Iron Station; father, Grady Schrum of Lincolnton; mother, Edith W. Proctor of Maiden; and two grandchildren, Roy Michael Heafner of Lincolnton, and Jaddon Sydney Heafner of Iron Station.
