Obituaries

Mr. Wade Mosteller, age 93 of 926 Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. 

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Doug McClain officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Mr. Mosteller was born October 20, 1918 in Lincoln County to the late John and Ella Grigg Mosteller.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Inez Whitesides Mosteller.   He worked as a carpenter and brick mason and contracted plans on several local churches including Southside Baptist Church. 

He is survived by two daughters, Diane Houser and husband M.C. of Lincolnton, and Dean Cline; one brother, Craig Mosteller of Lincolnton; one grandson, Rick Cline and wife Kim of Lincolnton; one granddaughter, Donya Burris and husband Joe of Cherryville; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Cline and Dalton Burris.
