Obituaries

Mr. Douglas William McCraw, Jr., age 52 of 2375 Gaston Webbs Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 23, 2012.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Roseland Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Teems officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. McCraw was born November 4, 1959 in Lincoln County to Douglas William McCraw, Sr. and Joyce Carpenter McCraw.   He worked as a truck driver for Performance Fire Protection. 

He is survived by his wife, Susan Richardson McCraw of the home; daughter, Lindsey McCraw Williams and husband, Johnny, of Lincolnton; son, Damon Douglas McCraw, his companion, Emily London and daughter Shelby, of Brevard; brothers, Reggie McCraw and wife Lynda of Charlotte, and David McCraw and wife Shelly of Lincolnton; sister, Tammy Benfield and husband Mark of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Isaac McCraw, Hunter McCraw, Tylan McCraw, and mother of grandchildren, Jamie McCraw and fiancé, Mark Smith; nieces, Shaina McCraw and Kerri Benfield; and nephew, Chase Benfield.
