Mr. Baxter Truett Cline, age 80, of 208 Wellington Drive, Lincolnton died Friday, January 27, 2012.
His funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at Boger City Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Bigham, Rev. Eric Reel and Rev. Joe Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Monday at Boger City Baptist Church.
Mr. Cline was born on July 7, 1931 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Guy and Charlotte Beal Cline. He was retired as a driver for Carolina Freight and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He was also a charter member of the Boger City Fire Department.
Mr. Cline is survived by his wife Agnes M. Cline of the home; one son Mitchell Truett Cline and wife, Cindy of Lincolnton; one sister, Sybil Watkins and husband, Norris of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Jessie Cline and Maggie Cline; a number of nieces and nephews.
