Obituaries

Robert Glenn Richard, age 83, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Dallas, passed away on January 28, 2012.  The family will receive friends at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton on Wednesday, February 1, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral and interment will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hardin at 11:00am.  Glenn was employed by Geo. A Hormel Co. for over 40 years, served as President of the Trinity Lutheran Church J.U.S.T. Club for over 15 years and was an avid gardener all his life.  Glenn is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jean Ramsey Richard, a sister Nellie Richard, of Stanley, daughters Susan Richard Boswell of Grayson, GA, and Glenda Richard of Norcross, GA, son-in-law Alan Boswell, granddaughter, Hunter Ramsey Boswell, grandson, Holden Rhyne Boswell, and nephews Richard and Randall Mauney of Atlanta, GA.  Glenn had a very positive outlook on life and a contagious sense of humor.  He will be deeply missed.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in his memory be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for the Family Life Center.
