Mrs. Brenda Gilbert Rice, age 70, of 2436 Heavner Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Dr. Stanley W. Spence, Rev. Phillip Campbell, and Rev. Dr. J. Dixon Free officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rice was born January 27, 1942 in Lincoln County to the late Guy and Sally Watts Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Willie Lee Robinson. Mrs. Rice worked in banking for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin “Budgie” Rice of the home; and a daughter, Paige Rice of Lincolnton.
