Obituaries

Margaret Louise Hoover Saunders, age 98 of Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 10, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allan Van Meter officiating.   Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Mt. Holly.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Saunders was born July 26, 1913 in Gaston County to the late Doras Avery and Iola Jane Howard Hoover.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Gray Saunders, Sr.

She is survived by a son, John G. Saunders, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Cathy Carlisle and husband Sam of Pinehurst; and one sister, Pauline Kidd of Huntersville.
