Obituaries

Mrs. Betty Faye Swing Houser, age 81 of 1793 Hines Circle Road in Stanley, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carol Ann Lawler officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Houser was born December 18, 1930 in Mecklenburg County to the late Claude William and Gladys McCorkle Swing.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Vernell Lowery, Hazel Christenberry, and Lorene Eury.   She was retired from NAPA Auto Parts after 28 years.  

Mrs. Houser is survived by her husband, Fred Wilford “Eip” Houser of the home; three sons, Cliff Houser and Terry Houser, both of Stanley, and Rusty Houser of Charlotte; one daughter, Cathy Houser of Stanley; one brother, Bill Swing of Monroe; one sister, Julia Clark of Charlotte; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
