Obituaries

Mr. Ronald Lee Ward Sr. age 62 of 794 Mt. Vernon Church Road Iron Station passed away on February 17, 2012.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 7:00pm in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplain Beth Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30pm until 6:45pm prior to the service.

Mr. Ward was a native of Canebrake West Va., born on October 14, 1949 son of the late James E. and Cora Hodge Ward. Mr. Ward worked in the floor covering industry.

Survivors include: wife Wilma Adair Ward of the home; one son Ronald L.Ward Jr. of  Stanley; five brothers James Ward of Maryland, Terry Ward of Stanley; Howard Ward of Gastonia, David Ward of Stanley, Billy Ward of Indiana; four sisters Mary Wilson of Lincolnton, Beluah Coddington of West Va., Marie Miller of Pennsylvania, and Connie Snider of Maryland.
