Mrs. Helen Hayes McCallister Brown, age 70, of 1243 Rosehill Drive, Lincolnton died Friday, February 24, 2012.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born on November 7, 1941 and was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Spivey McCallister. She was retired from the textile industry.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her ex-husband, Walter Darvin Patterson, Jr. of Lincolnton; two sons, Walter “Junior” Patterson and wife, Leslie of Lincolnton, David Patterson and wife, Lori of Lincolnton; four daughters, Macie Correll and husband, Lester of Iron Station, Theresa Richard of Lincolnton, Margaret Dixon and husband, Steve of Lincolnton, Ruby White and husband, Terry of Hudson; one brother, Charles McCallister and wife, Rebecca of Lincolnton; one sister, JoAnn Stacy of Lincolnton; thirteen grandchildren, Walter Junior Patterson, II, David Patterson, Jr., Ashley Lane, Jessica Lane, Crystal Bivens, Ray Correll, Denise Morgan, Angela Waldrop, April Waldrop, Ricky Waldrop, Jr., Helen Bradshaw, Albert Junior Bradshaw, Hank Bradshaw; eleven great grandchildren.
