Obituaries

Mrs. Alda Susan Melinda Keener Yount, age 94 of 2615 Reepsville Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Daniels Lutheran Church with Rev. Ted Bost officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday March 4, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Mrs. Yount was born on October 8, 1917 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Austin and Florence Wentz Keener.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Yount. Mrs. Yount was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Yount Wyant and husband Jerry of Vale, NC and Betty Leonard of Lincolnton; one brother, Bob Keener of Chickasaw Point, SC; one sister, Joyce Vickers of Newton; seven grandchildren, Tommy Wyant and wife Connie, Susan Barrett and husband Tim, David Wyant and wife Brandi, Lori McBryde and husband David, Jason Leonard and wife Kristy, Darren Leonard and wife Kim, Cayla Leonard and eleven great- grandchildren.
