Obituaries

Mr. Donald “Buck” Charles Hines, age 66, of 2631 Keener Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, March 10, 2012.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Royals officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Hines was born May 12, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late George Shuford and Alice Gamble Hines.  He formerly worked in maintenance for Bosch Manufacturing.  

He is survived by his wife, Jane Hines of the home; daughter, Deedy Hines Fox of Lincolnton; grandson, Thorne Fox; honorary grandson, Luke Haynes, son of Richie and Cindy Haynes; and two brothers, George Hines, Jr. of Stanfield, NC, and John Hines of Cherryville.
