Obituaries

Mr. John Daniel Shults, age 68, of the Brian Center West in Hickory, died on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Shults was born April 29, 1943 in Sevier County, TN to the late Jenson Castleton and Lottie Elder Dockery Shults.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, R.A. Shults and a sister, Anita Shults James.  Mr. Shults served in the United States Army and then later worked as a security guard. 

He is survived by a brother, Jenson Carroll Shults of Iron Station; two sisters, Mary Ethel Shults Gibson of Gastonia and Ada Viola Shults Smith of Maiden; and a number of nieces and nephews.
