Obituaries

Harrie Lea Burris, age 84 of Lincolnton, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 23, 2012. 

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 o’clock, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Boger City United Methodist Church.  Rev. Allan Van Meter, Rev. Bob Combs and Rev. Joe Ervin will officiate.  The family will receive friends 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the service. Mrs. Burris will be interred in the columbarium at Boger City United Methodist Church .

Born 5 December 1927 in Lincoln County, Harrie Lea was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Margaret Asbury Lowe.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Efird S. Burris.

She is survived by two sons: Mac Burris of Troutman and Bob Burris of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
