Obituaries

Thelma White Heavner, 90, of Newton passed away March 26, 2012 after a period of declining health.
         

Her funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. J. Larry Yoder officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the church.

Thelma was born November 29, 1921 in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Edmond L. and Corrie Wilson White.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Heavner, Sr., who passed away in 1993, and also by fourteen brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara McDavid of the home; a son, William H. Heavner, Jr. and wife Joy; a granddaughter, Nicole Jarrett and husband Don; and a grandson, Justin McDavid, all of Newton.
