Obituaries

Mr. William Ned Rogers, age 70 of 2195 Highway 182 in Lincolnton, died on Friday, March 30, 2012. 

A memorial service will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Gainsville Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Pastor Michael Rice officiating.   The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 pm on Tuesday prior to the service at Gainsville Baptist Church.  A memorial service will be held in Haywood County at a later date.

Mr. Rogers was born November 25, 1941 in Haywood County to the late Roe and Beatrice Breedlove Rogers.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Rogers.  He was retired from the North Carolina DMV. 

He is survived by his wife, Lois Bueker Rogers of the home; two sons, Barry Rogers and wife Wendy, Scott Rogers, all of Candler; two sisters, Dale King of Candler and Marilyn Brown of Bryson City; four granddaughters, Nikki Rogers, Jessica Rogers, Molly Winchester and Bethanie Winchester; one stepdaughter, Nancy Winchester and husband Michael of Mount Airy, MD.
