Obituaries

Carl Edward Lineberger, age 69, of 527 Landers Chapel Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church of High Shoals with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Lineberger was born December 14, 1942 in Gaston County to the late Oscar Daniel and Ella Elizabeth Sanford Lineberger.  He worked for the United States Postal Service.  In addition, Mr. Lineberger also served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Martin Lineberger of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Moya of Pearland, TX and Amy Dacomas of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Jerry Lineberger of Lincolnton; three sisters, Judy Taylor of High Shoals, Cathy Reep of Lincolnton, and Myra Mason of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren, Matthew O’Connell, Emily Ho, and Michael and Mark Uribe.
