Obituaries

Mr. Donald Lorance Ramsey, age 78, of 1519 Old Lincolnton-Crouse Road in Crouse, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Justice officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church.  

Mr. Ramsey was born April 25, 1933 in Lincoln County to the late Robert Roosevelt, Sr. and Virginia Owens Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Ramsey and Robert Ramsey, Jr. both formerly of Crouse.  Mr. Ramsey was the owner/operator of Smile’s Service Station on West Main Street in Lincolnton.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Byers Ramsey of the home; two sons, Donald Eric Ramsey and wife Lori of Kings Mountain and Timothy Chris Ramsey of Crouse; and two grandsons, Jonathan Ramsey and David Ramsey, both of Kings Mountain.
