Obituaries

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Gilbert Crowder, age 80, of 5958 Hoover Elmore Road in Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2012. 

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at New Vision Ministries with Rev. Scott Mann officiating.  The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm on Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crowder was born December 15, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Walter and Bryte Holden Gilbert.  She was retired from nursing.

Survivors include her husband, Don R. Crowder of the home; three sons, Gary Crowder and wife Sharon of Vale, Jimmy Crowder of the home and Stoney Alton Crowder of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Julie Annette Upton and husband Aaron of Vale, Dina Baxter and husband Kensy of Vale and Erin Bowden and finance Scott Deal of Kannapolis; three great-grandchildren, Luke Upton, Millie Deal and Maddie Baxter.
