Obituaries

Vada Ann Lucas Jarrett, age 83, of 1439 E. Main Street in Cherryville, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Ms. Jarrett was born March 14, 1929 in Elk Hills, West Virginia to the late Albert Frye and Mary Elizabeth Creed Lucas.   She worked as a secretary for Gaston Mental Health. 

She is survived by a son, Brian Jarrett and wife Melissa of the home; two grandchildren, Samantha Jarrett and Jordan Jarrett of the home.
