Obituaries

Mrs. Alene Brown Mauney, age 78, of 3045 Ramseur Street, Lincolnton, NC died Saturday, June 9, 2012.

Her funeral will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Mrs. Mauney was born October 29, 1933 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Grandy and Virginia Smith Brown. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Phillip Mauney.  Mrs. Mauney was retired from Mohican Fab Industry.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Lee Mauney of the home; one son, Kevin Mauney of Lincolnton; two daughters, Sandra Smith of Lincolnton and Kelly Dellinger of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Kevin Dennis Mauney, Jr., Scott Smith, Michael Smith, Holly Caldwell, Ashley Dellinger and Alexis Dellinger; two great grandchildren, Parker and Presley Smith.
