Mr. James McDonald Thomas, age 66, of 132-1 Gantt Road in Vale, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
An informal memorial service will be held from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2012 at his home, 132-1 Gantt Road in Vale.
Mr. Thomas was born February 7, 1946 in Lincoln County to the late Paul James and Laura Estelle Clark Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Paulette Thomas. He served in the United States Marines.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Nicks of Waterloo, SC; two sons, Paul Clayton Thomas of Atlanta, GA and Jerry Dale Thomas of Oshkosh, WI; two brothers, Paul Lance Thomas and Theodore Robert Thomas, both of Lincolnton; and six grandchildren.
