Obituaries

Ed, age 80, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and sons on July 9, 2012.  He was born on February 16, 1932 in Lincoln County and is the son of the late Robert and Mary Rhyne Kiser. 

Ed retired from Duke Energy in 1991 after 35 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; two sons, Keith and Chuck and his wife Julie of Charlotte, NC; one grandson, Charles Fletcher Kiser; and a sister, Bobbie Kiser Sullivan of Lincolnton.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
