Obituaries

Mr. Jerry Charles Chapman, age 71, of 1184 Old Lincolnton Crouse Road in Crouse, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with Pastor Rick Sloop officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Chapman was born June 24, 1941 in Lincoln County to the late Webb H. and Gladys Sneed Chapman.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garland Webb Chapman and Donald Miller Chapman.  Mr. Chapman retired from Vermont American where he worked as a machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Randall Chapman of the home; one son, Todd Randall Chapman of Broken Bow, NE; one daughter, Kimberly C. George of Cherryville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
