Carol Jean Grotz, age 71, of 131 Hawksbill Drive in Lincolnton, died on Friday, September 7, 2012.

No services are planned at this time.

Ms. Grotz was born December 10, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to the late Edward and Ruth Cummer Grotz.  She worked as a CNA. 

She is survived by two sons, Edward Eckerson and wife Sherry of Lincolnton, and Gary Eckerson and significant other Billy Duncan of Palm Beach, FL; one sister, Diane Moss of Palm Bay, FL; five grandchildren, Eddie Eckerson, Tia Avery, Elissa Kouray, Billy Eckerson, and Erick Eckerson; nine great-grandchildren; as well as Dorothy Reynolds, mother of her daughter-in-law.
