Obituaries

Patricia “Sissy” Morton Meeks, age 74, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at home.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Ms. Meeks was born June 3, 1938 in Gaston County to the late William A. and Dora Poole Morton.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed. E. Meeks, three brothers, Neal Morton, Tim E. Morton, and Robert “Rocky” Leonhardt, Jr., as well as a sister, Mary M. “Darlene” Ludwick.  Ms. Meeks was a homemaker. 

She is survived by two brothers, Gene L. Morton of Lincolnton and Bill Morton and wife Vickie of Crowders Mountain.
