Obituaries

Lois England, age 81, of 2261 Maiden-Salem Road in Maiden, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. James Tate officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. 

Mrs. England was born May 20, 1931 in Mitchell County, North Carolina to the late Calvin and Vena Buchanan Wilcox.  In addition, she was also preceded in death by five brothers.  Mrs. England worked as an inspector for Hanes Sportswear. 

She is survived by her husband, Clay England of the home; two sons, Wayne Eugene England and wife Lynda of Clover, SC, and Barry Andrew England and wife Ellen of Charlotte; four sisters, Edith Grindstaff of Bakersville, NC, Pearl Penland, Doris Welch, and Elizabeth Pate, all of Burnsville, NC; three grandchildren, Michael England, Jennifer Anderson, and Jill Lingerfelt; and three great-grandchildren, Will Lingerfelt, Riley Anderson, and Cloe Lingerfelt.
