Obituaries

Edna “Dot” Nathaniel Reynolds Self, age 85, of 1031 George Brown Road in Crouse, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Leonards Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Bost officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:45 am prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Self was born February 22, 1927 in Lincoln County to the late Clarence Wesley and Emma Mauney Reynolds.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Don Self.   Mrs. Self owned Self’s Tomato Company with her late husband, Eddie Jake Self.  Dot also loved yard work, dancing, cleaning anything, and cooking.  

She is survived by a granddaughter, Stacie Self of Crouse; her companion, Forest Rayfield of Crouse; nieces, Gail Slepin, Beverly Reynolds, Sandy Reynolds, Emma Clayton, Davida Parker, Dottie Ann Brown, and Lois Ann Stroupe, and nephews, Bob Reynolds, Mike Reynolds, and Randy Reynolds.
