Obituaries

Barbara June Gosthnian, age 74, of 3780 Stoney Creek Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, September 24, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Maiden Wesleyan Church with Rev. Bob Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gosthnian was born June 23, 1938 in Redmond, Washington to the late Larwin B. and June Hazel Smith Hawks.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Gosthnian loved singing and square dancing.  She was also a member of Maiden Wesleyan Church for fourteen years. 

She is survived by her husband, Harry Gosthnian of the home; a daughter, Joanna Claflin of Lincolnton; a son, Tony Graff of Lincolnton; two stepsons, Harry Gosthnian, Jr. and John Edward Gosthnian, both of Washington; a step-daughter, Dorothy Rolph of Washington; two grandchildren, Lyle James Claflin and Camey Lee Westermark of Washington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
