Mr. Terry Jay Jones, age 55, of 738 Alf Hoover Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, October 5, 2012at Gainsville Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Rice officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born August 19, 1957 in Gaston County to Bonnie Sue Pritchett Jones and the late J.L. Jones.  He worked for Vermont American (Robert Bosch Tool Corp.) for 34 years.  He was a member of Gainsville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Penny William Jones of the home; one son, Josh Jones and wife Holli of Lincolnton; one daughter, Tara McCorkle and husband Shane of Lincolnton; two brothers, Keith Jones of Lawndale and Stacey Jones and wife Connie of Vale; and his mother, Bonnie Sue Jones of Lincolnton.  The great joy of his life were his grandchildren, Jayden Jones, Micheala McCorkle, and Landon McCorkle.
