Obituaries

Mabel Burton Hedgepeth, age 74, of Cardinal Health Care and formerly of 3052 Ramseur Street in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Royals officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hedgepeth was born August 20, 1938 in Gaston County to the late Archie Lee and Susan Bridges Burton.  She worked in textiles.  

She is survived by her husband, Carl F. Hedgepeth of the home; two sons, Donald Carl Hedgepeth of Lincolnton and Richard Allen Hedgepeth of Maiden; one daughter, Lori Ann Johnson of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
