Mr. Howard Franklin Dill, age 81, of 10 W. Klutz Road in Maiden, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Dill was born March 13, 1931 in Gaston County to the late Charlie Roscoe and Fannie Mitchum Dill. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Drum Dill, two daughters, Sylvia Diane Dill Queen and Sandra Faye Dill Whisnant, two brothers, Charles Edward Dill and Glen Dwayne Dill, and one sister, Geraldine Dill. Mr. Dill served in the United States Marines and then later worked in textiles.
He is survived by a son, Bobby Eugene Dill and wife Emily L. Dill of Claremont; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a loving, true friend, Kenneth Wayne Owens.
