Obituaries

Mr. Gary Lee Costner, age 66, of 3250 Blueberry Road in Iron Station, died on Monday, October 29, 2012.

His funeral service will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.   Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Mr. Costner was born December 22, 1945 in Gaston County to the late Luther Leo and Dorthy Costner.  He worked for 36 years as an electrician for Duke Energy and in his free time, loved to golf.  Mr. Costner also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. 

He is survived by his wife, Tiny Brymer Costner of the home; two sons, Gregory Costner and Jeffery Costner and wife Loretta, all of Vale; step-daughter, Kathy Earnhardt and husband Douglas of Lincolnton; step-son, Jimmy Hilton of Iron Station; and three grandchildren, Dyllion Costner, Douglas Earnhardt, Jr., and Josh Hilton.
