Mr. Hollis Dean Fortenberry, age 66, of 433 E. Rhodes Street, Lincolnton died Saturday, November 10, 2012.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Fortenberry was born on November 23, 1945 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Charlie D. and Margie Hager Fortenberry.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ken Fortenberry and a sister, Sue Perkins.  He was retired from the textile industry. Mr. Fortenberry enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR and Redskins football.

Mr. Fortenberry is survived by his daughter, Karen Elliott and husband Ray Elliott of Lawndale; two brothers, Walt Fortenberry and wife, Linda Fortenberry of Lincolnton and Jerry Fortenberry of Lincolnton;  one granddaughter Morgan Elliott of Lawndale;  girlfriend of 16 years, Kathy Bowman and many nieces and nephews.
