Mr. Johnny Allen “Batmite” Carpenter, age 48, of 354 Victory Grove Church Road, Lincolnton died Sunday, November 11, 2012.

His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Victory Grove Tabernacle with Rev. David Jarrell and Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Carpenter was born on July 10, 1964 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Patricia Powell Carpenter.

He is survived by three sons, Jonathan Carpenter of Lincolnton, Josh Carpenter of Lincolnton and Matthew Carpenter of Lincolnton; one daughter, Kelly Carpenter; father, John Carpenter of Lincolnton; two sisters, Pamela Mixon of Lincolnton and Tammy Blanco of Pikeville, NC; a number of nieces and nephews.
