Robinson “Tim” McDowell Gilmore, Jr., age 68, of 7907 Smith Pond Drive, Denver, NC died Friday, November 16, 2012.

Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Unity Presbyterian Church, followed by the service at 4:00 pm also at Unity Presbyterian Church, 8210 Unity Church Road in Denver, NC.

Mr. Gilmore was a native of Pittsburgh, PA and was born June 4, 1944.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robinson McDowell Gilmore, Sr. and Jane Cummings Gilmore.  Before retiring, Mr. Gilmore sold air-compression tools to local Nascar teams in Charlotte, NC.  He was a graduate of Avonworth High School in Pittsburgh and Youngstown University in Youngstown, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marie McMillion Gilmore; sons, Robinson McDowell Gilmore III and wife Julie Gilmore of Charlotte, NC and Bradley Robert Gilmore and husband Garland Kelley of Los Angeles, CA; and two grandchildren, Kate Elizabeth Gilmore and Quinn McDowell Gilmore.

Mr. Gilmore would want everyone to celebrate his life just as he did, with laughter and love, unconditionally.
