Mr. Daniel Carr Leonard, III, age 69, of 635 Jerry Crump Road, Lincolnton NC died Saturday, December 1, 2012.

His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Key officiating.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Leonard was born in Lincoln County on May 20, 1943 to the late Daniel “Dutch”Carr and Carolyn Lucille Lineberger Leonard, Jr.  He worked as a freight loader with Carolina Freight.

Mr. Leonard is survived by one son, Dutch Leonard and wife Molly of Lincolnton; one daughter, Andie Gavin and husband Jeff of Lincolnton; one sister, Jane Fox and husband John of Danville, VA; three grandsons, Devin Leonard, Gabe Gavin, Casey Blackwelder
