Obituaries

Mrs. Ola RuBith “Beattie” Schism Smith, age 71, of 3793 E. Highway 27 in Iron Station died Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Brittain officiating.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Lincoln County on June 30, 1941 to the late William and Nancy Carpenter Schism.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Kenneth William Smith.  She was retired from textiles.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, David W. Smith of the home; one daughter, Bobbie Jane Morrison of Lincolnton; one brother, William Carroll Schism of Lincolnton; three grandsons, Joshua Beal, Nathan Morrison and Shawn Morrison.
