Georgia Marie Sharp Brown, age 83, of 5983 Christopher Road in Denver, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Revival Tabernacle in Stanley with Rev. Dr. Robert R. Gittens officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Revival Tabernacle in Stanley.
Mrs. Brown was born October 11, 1929 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late William David and Martha Nelson Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Brown. She worked in security for Bank of America in Charlotte.
She is survived by four daughters, Imogene Buchanan and Vernie Pettit, both of Denver, Alberta Ogle of Knoxville, TN, and Charlotte Houk of Denver; two brothers, Nick Sharp of Clarksville, TN and William Odell Sharp of Alabama; one sister, Cressie Underwood of Middleburg, KY; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
