Obituaries

Precious Hoyle Caskey, age 89, of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating.  Burial will follow in the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Ms. Caskey was born December 25, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late Calvin Frank and Florence Goins Hoyle.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Eugene Caskey, a daughter, Phyllis B. Hudson, a son, Jerry Bryant, sister, Mildred Purro, brother David Hoyle, a granddaughter, Renee T. Newton, and one grandson, Glenn Bollinger.   She worked as a waitress.

She is survived by a son, Gary Bollinger and wife Lana of Lincolnton; two daughters, Glenda B. Fox and husband John and Vicki B. Homesley and husband Eddy, both of Lincolnton; four brothers, Clyde Hoyle of Lake Placid, FL, Claude Hoyle and Roy Hoyle, both of Lincolnton, and Russell Hoyle of Liberty, NC; two sisters, Shirley Sadler and Dorothy Kimrey, both of Staley, NC; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two-great-great-grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
