Mrs. Laura Goodson Beal, age 78, of the Brian Center, Lincolnton and formerly of Lincolnton died Sunday, December 30, 2012.
Her funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Setzer and Rev. Ken Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Beal was born July 9, 1934 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Lilburn Kenneth and Ethel Ballard Goodson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerrell Beal, a brother, Ray Goodson and a sister, Mary Lee Goodson Keener. She retired as a book keeper in the banking industry.
Mrs. Beal is survived by one son, Myron Beal of Lincolnton; two daughters, Patti Beal of Maiden and Chandra Beal Holbrooks and husband, Chris of Denver, NC; three sisters, Mildred Goodson Ramsey of Raleigh, Joy Keever Hager of Lincolnton and Alice Jean Goodson Beidleman of Concord, NC; two grandchildren, Grace Holbrooks and Caden Holbrooks.
