Obituaries

Betty Faye Lynch Mosteller, age 80, of 1421 High Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church with the body to lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Rev. Frank Herman will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Mosteller was born March 12, 1932 in Gaston County to the late Polie A. and Annie Mae Alexander Lynch.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Pete” Mosteller, two sisters, Margaret Quinn and Louise Lynch, and brother, Glenn Lynch.  She worked as a lab technician at Threads, USA. Mrs. Mosteller was a lifelong member of Landers Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Reynolds and husband Jimmy, Janet Lyda and husband Bill, and LuEllen Norman and husband Rick, all of Lincolnton; one sister, Edith Varalli; six grandchildren, Allison Lyda Shortmeyer, Keely Lyda Wise, Christian Reynolds, Ashley Schronce Jarvis, Amy Reynolds Wilson, and Aaron Schronce; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Larsyn, and Anderson Wise, Lilly Kate, Ellie, and Lanee Shortmeyer.
