Mr. Lewis Jerry Bowen, age 63, of 2259 Lake Street in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Herbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Bowen was born May 7, 1949 in Mecklenburg County to the late Lewis and Essie Addison Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters. He worked as a supervisor in textiles.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Maires Bowen of the home; a son, Jerry Eugene Bowen of Lincolnton; two brothers, Jack Bowen of Dallas, NC and L.B. Bowen of Stanley, NC; a half-brother, Sam Bowen of South Carolina; and a sister, Erita Rogers of Dallas, NC.
