Kathleen Leonard Huss, age 101 of Carolina Care Center of Cherryville, and formerly of 1105 JW Huss Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013
Her funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Mitschke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:45 pm prior to the service in the Family Life Center at Bethphage Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Huss was born April 1, 1911 in Lincoln County to the late Daniel and Robena Hull Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Huss, three brothers, Clifford, Austin, and Russell Leonard, and five sisters, Emma Hoover, Vernie Scronce, Ella Heavner, Mary Royster, and Essie Heavner.
She is survived by a son, Jerry W. Huss and wife Penny; a daughter, Judy H. Martin and husband Dale of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Lisa H. Noles and husband Mark of Lincolnton, and Ryan Willis of Knoxville, TN; and two great-grandsons, Jake and Carson Noles.
