Charles “Buddy” Reep, age 83, of 814 Clarke Drive in Lincolnton died Saturday, February 9, 2013.
The committal service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Forest Lawn cemetery with DAV burial rites. A service to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Lincolnton. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Reep was born April 19, 1929 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Lawson P. Reep and Delia Tutherow Reep. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie S. Reep; brother, Franklin Carroll Reep and sister, Margaret Thames. Mr. Reep was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict where he received two bronze stars. He retired as a produce manager at Joe and Jim’s super market.
Survivors include his son, Eric Reep of Lincolnton; brother, David Reep and wife Betty P. of Hickory; sister, Kay Lawing and husband, Donald, of Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
