Obituaries

Jeanette Birtha “Tommie” Jones, age 83, of Spruce Street in Denver, died on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.   Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 pm on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Jones was born January 28, 1930 to the late Kimmie Hull Henson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Larry Jones.  She worked in textiles. 

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Jones and wife Robin of Lincolnton and Wayne Jones and wife Brenda of Grover, NC; one daughter, Teresa Jones and fiance Kenny Hardison of Maiden; one brother, Jack Hull and wife Becky of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Misty Dellinger Bryant, David Dellinger, Jeremy Jones, Clay Jones, Allison Jones, and D.J. Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Kailey Young, Caleb Jones, and Alyssa Smith.
