Mr. Jerry Lawrence Ellison, age 69, of 100 Falconview Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013. His funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with DAV military rites. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home. Mr. Ellison was born January 3, 1944 in Baltimore City, Maryland to the late Lawrence and Zola Wriston Ellison. He served in the United States Army and then later worked in textiles. Mr. Ellison served as a Deacon at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Anna Holden Ellison of the home; three sons, Douglas Ellison of WV, Todd Ellison of Holly Ridge, NC, and Jerry Ellison of Huntersville, NC; two sisters, Norma Severt of Heath, OH and Patricia Sammons of Delaware, OH; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
